Cruise Control holds 100 in 6th on every hill that I drove on the Warrago out to Minden from Ipswich. The Jeep is far more tractable all through the rev range and in the lower cogs it now gets to the upper end of the rev range bloody quickly. I won't say I was giggling like a school girl at a Justin Beiber concert, but it wasn't far off. After about an hour and a half of driving I pulled in at home. So I was going to just do a few hill starts and around the block, but the fun factor stepped in, I just wanted to drive around. I do remember reading somewhere before that the CEL will go out with x number of ignition cycles if it is all good and this is what must of happened with all of the stopping the engine and starting again. What do you know? No Limp and no CEL! I drove it for a little while and then repeated the process and set it to 9 again. At this point I got braver and set it to 8. Go a bit further and set it to 6 and once again CEL but no limp. Drive up the street a bit stop, hop out set it to 3, start the Jeep and no limp but still CEL. I reinstalled the module again but wound it back to 0 (module fitted but does nothing). Limp mode has gone away but still have the CEL.

So I returned it all to the state of before I began. Still have the CEL on, tried a battery reset, still have the CEL and limp mode. I unplugged the module and fitted the shorting cap. So I take it up the street to check how it drives. Thinking to myself "bugger", ok check everything is plugged in properly and check for codes with the key. CEL comes on straight away, but the engine runs fine. The module comes pre-set to the factory recommended setting of 9, so I plugged it in as the instruction say and started the Jeep. The loom can follow other wiring all the way to the connections at the fuel rail. I ended up placing the module in the space between the TPIM and the battery. A complete numpty with no life skills could do it. I haven't taken any pictures to show what to do, but the pictures in the vendor area cover that anyway.

The longest part is actually picking the spot to put the module and threading the loom through to keep things neat. It really is fast to fit or remove about 5 minutes in total. Well after picking the package up from the post office this afternoon I installed the module.
